Christmas Day!!

Christmas Day was such a sweet and special one. It always is-but something about having a 2 1/2 year old makes it even more so. When I was little I loooooved coming out of my room to the Christmas music playing and still do. So we woke up and I got the Christmas music going and everything lit before Libby came out of her room. I loved seeing her little smirk when she turned the corner! We opened presents then made waffles and bacon. After breakfast we read the last of our Advent book by Ann Voskamp (we didn’t do everyday with Libby because even though it was written for was still a little too long for her attention span)…but I loved the days leading up to Jesus’ birth and really wanted to keep the focus on Jesus. Then we opened our stockings, played and got ready to go over to Mama and Papa Kates’ house for lunch!

Note to self: Put present together before Christmas morning. Good thing we have a patient little one who likes to help!

Libby loved getting to hangout with her Aunt Jo and Uncle War-War all Christmas day! (we did too!)

Libby was done with pictures…but we attempted anyways!

We stayed the night that night and played the next day! Libby thought Mama Kates’ LSU cheerleader megaphone was pretty great!

As well as Papa’s guitar!

What a wonderful Christmas season it was-full of reminders of God’s grace, faithfulness, love and mercy. Hope you all had a special Christmas as well!
